Poem of the Sea aquarium

Poem of the Sea is an aquarium in the city of Las Palmas of Gran Canaria that owns the longest water tank in the world. It is a continuous aquatic space of 37 meters long, with a capacity exceeding 4,000 cubic meters of water, concentrating 350 species of 35 ecosystems, in enclosures in which you can sight tunas, sharks, black piranhas of Peru, freshwater rays and fish without any eyes, and even crocodiles.

Basilica of Teror

Teror is a place of pilgrimage for all the inhabitants of Gran Canaria, since the municipality welcomes in its Basilica to the Virgen del Pino, patron saint of the Diocese of the Canaries. It is in the Plaza del Pino (Pine Square) and the beginning of its construction dates from the year 1767, although subsequently it had to be restored on several occasions, especially in the years 1968 and 1969. The current Temple, with gable roof, has three naves with fourteen arches supported by columns and pillars. Its façade opens to three doors, and its side also have two entrances, windows and stained-glass windows depicting the mysteries of the Rosary.
