Discover the impressive ravines of the south of Gran Canaria known as Gran Canaria’s Grand Canyon and delight with its wonderful views, the Arguineguín Ravine, the Chira dam and the village of Tunte where we´ll stop to taste the typical Canarian cuisine and relax for a while. We continue the tour visiting the Valley of the Thousand Palms, Fataga, one of the most picturesque villages of the island and finally return to the tourist areas.

Once the group has gathered in Maspalomas we will leave towards the ravine of the Lomos de Pedro Alfonso, contemplating spectacular views towards the Aguineguin ravine, to reach the Chira dam, built between 1941 and 1944, but it was in 1965 when the definitive project was completed, giving it the appearance it has today. It is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular and beautiful works of civil engineering on the islands, offering a unique landscape on this side of Gran Canaria. This place has a typical climate of the southern midlands, it is immersed in the Biosphere Reserve of Gran Canaria and in the Nublo Rural Park, one of the most unique places on the island, bring out the explorer in you and take to the road. An open jeep excursion where you can enjoy the adventure of discovering Gran Canaria in a different and fun way.

We continue towards the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana to reach Tunte, its capital, where we will visit the old town and its church. We continue our route towards the ravine of the thousand palm trees until we reach the beautiful village of Fataga, where you can have something to eat in the typical restaurants of the area. The last stop will be at the viewpoint of Las Moscas where you can take pictures of the valley and see the Maspalomas Dunes. From here we will head back to the hotels and continue to the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana to reach Tunte, its capital, where we will visit the old town and its church. We continue our route towards the ravine of the thousand palm trees until we reach the beautiful village of Fataga, where you can have something to eat in the typical restaurants of the area. The last stop will be at the viewpoint of Las Moscas where you can take pictures of the valley and see the Maspalomas Dunes. From here we will head back to the hotels, ending the excursion.

We had an amazing day with you & it was great value for the money. It was lovely not to be chased by a camera all day like other Jeep Safari tours ( zig zag) & staff was absolutely fantastic at making sure we had all the information about the island. Only criticism I would have is only 2 out of our 4 wanted to do the camels & only the ones participating were called for & the rest of the party presumed they weren’t allowed down so unfortunately we had no one to take photos of our experience. Apart from that it was fabulous & I would definitely recommend you before zig zag.

The Jeep tour was wonderful...getting organized to take off took more time than one would expect...making this a full day...more than half day tour. Luckily, we had nothing else planned for the same day. I would also emphasize that a camel safari ride can be included at the SAME place we returned to the next day. Otherwise, it was a wonderful day and WELL worth the cost of the excursion...highly recommend!!!
